So many secrets are revealed within them, yet they are so elusive...

Dreams are the most accessible tool for connecting with your subconscious, revealing your true emotions and thoughts about various aspects of your life, releasing repressed feelings, offering different perspectives on situations you've encountered, and even providing insights, realizations, and messages.

Every night during sleep, you go through several sleep cycles. A sleep cycle involves transitioning between different brainwave frequencies, from states similar to wakefulness to deep relaxation, and upon entering a dream, the frequency returns to that of wakefulness. On average, a sleep cycle lasts about an hour and a half, culminating in a dream that lasts from a few seconds to several minutes, with an average of 5 to 7 dreams per night.

The reason you sometimes easily remember dreams, sometimes find it difficult, or feel like you don't dream at all (perhaps more often than not) is due to deep sleep between one sleep cycle and another, which can result from fatigue, stress, sleep difficulties, and more.

However, it's scientifically proven—we must dream!

The Importance of Remembering Dreams

The reason it's beneficial to remember dreams is because of the immense advantages that dreaming and understanding the dream have on you and your life:

  • Revealing true emotions and thoughts
  • Uncovering lies and secrets from the environment
  • Finding solutions to problems and difficulties
  • Understanding challenges in your life
  • And more...

Often, our greatest challenge in creating change is dispelling self-deceptions and distortions and finding the root of the problem. Through dreams, the roots are exposed to you, making change more accessible!

Some Easy Ways and Tips to Improve Dream Recall

  • Engaging with Dreams: The more your thoughts dwell on a particular subject, the more it becomes exposed to your consciousness and attention. Just as when you desire a specific object (like a car) and suddenly it appears everywhere, or you think about a certain topic, and it pops up in every conversation, advertisement, etc., engaging with the world of dreams exposes your consciousness to it and allows you greater access. (Reading, writing, listening to lectures, learning, participating in forums, attempting to interpret dreams, and more.)
  • Pen and Notebook: Preparing and being ready to write down dreams increases awareness and makes the knowledge more accessible. Therefore, it's advisable to place a pen and notebook by your bed and, upon waking, write down everything that comes to mind from the night, even if nothing comes to mind yet. I recommend noting sensations, colors, or tastes because dreams are like forgotten memories—they haven't disappeared; they're just somewhere in the back. Like any memory, delving into it will cause it to surface, and with a few nights of practice, you'll already see significant improvement.
  • Crystals: Crystals have energy that can influence dream recall by strengthening it. Use crystals by placing them under your pillow before sleep. You can place them inside the pillowcase to prevent them from "wandering" during the night. Suitable crystals include Malachite, Amethyst, Pietersite, Garnet, Chalcedony, and Moonstone.
  • Quality and Appropriate Sleep: The quality of your sleep greatly affects dream recall. If you go to sleep very tired, have eaten a heavy meal before bed, or your mind is very troubled, the transition between sleep cycles will be deeper, and dreams are forgotten.
    • Go to bed as soon as you start feeling sleepy. If possible, maintain a consistent bedtime; the body will recognize and adapt to these hours.
    • Avoid screens close to bedtime; the flickering light and rapid movements create restlessness at the onset of sleep, interfering with smooth falling asleep and causing unrest and unpeaceful sleep.
    • Ensure a three-hour gap between the last meal and bedtime (Tip: this also helps improve body weight and your nutritional cycles).
    • Your body loves routines, so a bedtime ritual can prepare the body and mind for sleep and help you fall asleep more easily. Activities like a warm shower, natural herbal tea, dimming the lights at home, turning off screens, etc., can be beneficial.

Listen to Your Dreams

Listening to your dreams will be the greatest gift you've ever given yourself; they will help you grow, overcome difficulties, and spread your wings to the world!
